BRIZO is a dressing I started making a long, long time ago. I initially started using the dressing in a pasta salad that became my signature dish. Everyone loved the pasta and at every family gathering this was the dish I served. It was a dressing I always used on pasta or “lightly” used on a green salad. Friday night in our home was always pizza night and as I was making my signature pasta one Friday night, both boys began dipping their pizza into my dressing. They loved it! The younger of the two, the pickiest whose diet consisted of donuts, rolls, and pizza, started using it on everything. Adding a tablespoon or two to his potatoes, rice, veggies, meat, sandwiches, and green salads, anything and everything. My oldest son always introduced it to his friends who would pop in on a Friday night for pizza and they could never get enough of BRIZO. My dressing truly became a family favorite, and everyone grew to love BRIZO.
For years, everyone always encouraged me to get it on the shelf. When we would sit around contemplating should we or shouldn’t we, my boys would always have their idea of what it should be called. They believed the perfect name was “Vivie’s Tangy Taste of Heaven.” What really made me consider venturing down this path was the limited number of fresh dressings that could be found on store shelves that were good tasting, no additives or preservatives, and something that was versatile and could be used several different ways. At the end of 2017, BRIZO was born.
